Angfa engages in collaborative research alongside university hospitals and medical specialists,
exploring the fields of Trichology, Dermatology, Gastro-Intestinal Medicine, Endocrinology, Regenerative Medicine,
and Anti-Aging Medicine with a goal of spreading awareness about preventive medicine.
Additionally, we are creating a database of the latest clinical information from health care providers to gather medical evidence,
and using the expertise gained from analysis of that data to help develop our products.

    Born 1962. A graduate of St. Marianna University School of Medicine, Dr. Wakisaka conducts skin rejuvenation research in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He believes that the mission of plastic surgery is to provide medical care that enables the patient to feel the best they possible can.
  • Hajime Inoue

    Dr. Inoue graduated from Hoshi University College of Pharmacology, where he also completed his post-graduate training. He is a Specially Appointed Professor and Faculty Representative in the faculty of Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine (Angfa endowment) within the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Marianna University School of Medicine. He is engaged in research into stem cell-oriented regenerative medicine, hair regeneration, prevention of lifestyle diseases through nutrition education, and anti-aging.

  • Yoshio Nakamizo

    Emeritus Professor, Kyushu University / Honorary Director, Josai Clinic Fukuoka / M.D.

    Born in Nagasaki, 1924. After graduating from Kyushu University School of Medicine, Dr. Nakamizo became an assistant professor there, eventually gaining full professorship in 1968. In 1955, his research into the relationship between hot springs bathing and skin functions led to him being one of the doctors who established the Department of Dermatology and Urology at Kyushu University. Since becoming a professor, he has focused his research more narrowly on psoriasis. In 1977, he delivered a special lecture on “Local Remedies for Psoriasis” at the 52nd Western Japan United Regional Conference, and an epidemiological study he conducted at the time became the impetus for the establishment of the Japanese Society for Psoriasis Research.

    Dr. Kawashima is a graduate of Tokyo University Faculty of Medicine and studied abroad at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. After teaching as a lecturer in the Tokyo University Department of Dermatology, he became professor and chief lecturer at the Department of Dermatology at Tokyo Women’s Medical University. His major areas of research include atopic dermatitis, esthetics, viral skin infections, and contact dermatitis. In April 2018, he was named director of Well Aging Corp., Makinakai Corp., and Real Age Shizuyakai Corp.
  • Hiroshi Takenaka

    Dr. Takenaka is a graduate of the Juntendo University Graduate School Department of Dermatology and Allergology, where he became assistant professor in the same department.     Born in Tokyo, 1931. Graduate of Tokyo University Faculty of Medicine. After completing his internship at Tokyo Army Hospital, Dr. Shioya went to the U.S. on a Fulbright scholarship, where he became fascinated with plastic surgery while studying at Albany Medical College. When he returned to Japan, he practiced plastic surgery at Tokyo University until becoming professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Kitasato University School of Medicine. Having said that “Cosmetic surgery is a social phenomenon, and part of the fabric of human relationships, loaded with the contradictions of humans’ obsessive pursuit of beauty interwoven with plastic surgeons’ obsession with the magic of fabrication,” he explores the contradictions that exist between medical care and cosmetic surgery, and with cosmetic surgery still perceived under the broad umbrella of anti-aging, he continues his ambitious efforts through the establishment of a non-profit organization membered by various medical specialists.
  • Nobuo Hirayama

    Born 1948. Graduated from St. Marianna University School of Medicine. After obtaining his M.D., Dr. Hirayama was a lecturer in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Marianna University School of Medicine, and has been the director of AAC Clinic Nagoya since May 2008. He has a reputation with patients for always providing conscientious exams, enabling him to gain their deep and lasting trust.
  • Eriko Nakano

    Gradauted from St. Marianna University School of Medicine. After completing training at Shiga University of Medical Science Clinical Education Center, Dr. Nakano began working as plastic surgeon at St. Marianna University Graduate School of Medicine. She currently practices at Women’s Health Clinic Tokyo, where she dedicates herself to providing considerate and conscientious medical care.

    Born 1976. A graduate of Keio University School of Medicine, Dr. Koyama has engaged in research into skeletal muscle regeneration at Keio, and gene therapy research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School). He currently provides outpatient medical exams while keeping up on hair research to deliver diagnoses based on the latest knowledge.

    Born 1962. Dr. Kobayashi graduated from Kitasato University School of Medicine, where he provides medical treatment at the university hospital with a concentration on mental health. Believing that medical hair treatment necessitates an approach from a psychological perspective, he established the Well Aging Corp. Men’s Health Clinic Tokyo. He uses his experience as a psychiatrist in his great efforts to tackle medical hair treatment from a holistic point of view.

  • Yoshiaki Kumamoto

    Emeritus Professor, Sapporo Medical University / Director, Japan Clinic Men’s Health Institute / Honorary Director, Men’s Health Clinic Tokyo

    After graduating from Tokyo University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Kumamoto became a lecturer there before studying abroad at UC Berkeley, and then taking a position as professor at Sapporo Medical University. He was the first in Japan to engage in research and care for male menopause. Building on the results of his 30 years of research, at the end of last year he established the Japan Men’s Health Laboratory, located in Shinjuku. He travels around the world delivering lectures all while exceling in his practice as a male menopause clinician.

  • Masayuki Terushima

    Director, Josai Clinic Fukuoka / JMA certified occupational health physician

    Born 1952. After graduating from Oita University Faculty of Medicine in 1987, Dr. Terushima entered practice in the urology department at Oita University Hospital. In 1988, he worked with the Oita Prefectural Health Care Center as a researcher for Oita University’s Department of Public Health. Later he worked for Nippon Life Insurance Company, and after working all over Japan as an occupational physician, he became certified in 2006 and took over as head of the Shinsa Center. In April 2015, he assumed a position as director of Josai Clinic Fukuoka, where he uses his experience as an occupational physician to provide care that looks beyond mere symptoms and takes into account factors such as the patient’s environment.

  • Nobutaka Usui

    After graduating from Kagawa University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Yuzaki spent time as a researcher at Osaka City University, and has practiced medical care in the Kinki region with a focus on dialysis. She currently devotes herself to new hair growth treatment in her position as an internist at Wakisaka Clinic Osaka.

    Dr. Chiku promotes the ideal of “predisease,” which aims to treat illness before symptoms occur. He provides treatment in the cardiovascular medicine field with a foundational approach of “examine the patient, not the disease,” at the Vascular Lab, a facility furnished with the latest medical equipment, capable of examining for vascular disease as well as heart disease.

  • Faculty of Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine (Angfa endowment), St. Marianna University School of Medicine (2009~ )

    The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Group at St. Marianna University School of Medicine was the first in Japan to implement clinical application of cultured epidermis, with the objective of product development and the advancement of regenerative medicine in fields such as hair regeneration and aging care treatment, based on new technological developments and regeneration theory.
  • Joint initiative with Nippon Medical School Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (2012~ )

    Mechanobiology is a field of research that examines the physiological phenomena that occur when cells with a three-dimensional structure undergo a physical change due to their external environment, thus regulating cellular gene expression. Angfa pursues this field of study through its collaborative research with Nippon Medical School Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
  • Joint initiative with Juntendo University School of Medicine affiliated Juntendo University Hospital Department of Urology (2014~ )

    Japan faces a wide range of challenges related to infertility treatment. It suffers from an infertility problem unparalleled in the world, which is only becoming more and more serious, and there is little recognition and support for infertility treatment. In the fight against this problem, Angfa engages in collaborative research on supplements for men’s fertility with Juntendo University Hospital Department of Urology, which is affiliated with Juntendo University School of Medicine.
  • Collaborative research on drug metabolizing enzymes with the Iwate Medical University School of Pharmacology Department of Drug Metabolism(2016~ )

    In recent years, many studies have found not only that sulfation reaction causes drug metabolism and external secretion, but that some drugs increase physiological and pharmacological activity. Angfa promotes research in collaboration with Iwate Medical University School of Pharmacology Department of Drug Metabolism to identify the mechanisms that maximize the effectiveness of drugs administered to living organisms.
